Why is the study of religious ritual classified as a subject for anthropology, rather than religious studies? - religious
I have a degree in religious studies, and I am very interested in religious rituals. Most books on the subject are written by anthropologists, and use the jargon of the field, I am not very familiar. Why is a ritual object for anthropology, religious studies rather than substance classified?
What is the difference between someone who has studied the ritual as an anthropologist, and one that, as a study of "religious" studied? Is 2 have different perspectives?
